Default 150mph

I want a speedometer that goes up to 150mph. Is there anyway we can have one in our V6s? Can we use a SCT or program it on our chip somehow? I know I'll hit over 120mphmore then a couple times and I'll want to know how fast I'm going. What do I need to change it over?

well the only time id ever ever go over 120 is either on the track or on the dyno. And i know if oyu access the diagnostics you can have the digital spedometer. But that requires turning on and off the car, and once oyu turn the car off it goes away. You probably know all of this. But at least itll tell you how fast your going when its actually safe to go that fast. (youll never need it 24/7 unless you play on going 120+ on the street, then thats just plain retarded)

go ahead and put one in it would be ................. unique ............... in a sense. if the cobra odometers are 150 get them or the machs ( silver ) that would be a nice add on

thast because the governor is 118 for at least 99-04. im not sure about any other years.

and like VCS said, it can be done, your speedo might be off a bit and it will take a lot of work to get everything working right but it can be done. i personally would go for a set of cobra gauges. 160mph speedo..not like youd ever need it, and WHITE FACED...much better than the greyish color of the v6 and gt gauges. you would also need a tuner to shut of the governor if you are planning on using the higher speedo.

as a side note, there is no reason to be going that fast..your not going to be going that fast on a track, you would never hit that in a quarter mile. your going to kill yourself or somebody else if you do that on the street.

The 1/4 mile will be way over before you ever reach 150. Not entirely sure about MPH and ET conversions, but I you'll need to be running 11's or 10's before you trap 150.
