Default Rough Shifting

Got a slight problem. My transfer between gears is becoming increasingly rough. Sometimes i even have to put it in reverse jus for 1st gear to open up..or 1st for reverse to open. When shifiingdown the line, the stick doesn't slip into gear like it use to...i have to almost jam it intogear...I'm not sure if something in the transmission is wearing out or if a fluid is low. I got a 2000 manual and i'm pretty versed on everything about my car except the transmission.Any help is appreciated.

how many miles do you have on the car? When was the last time you have the trans looked over? Do you have a stock shifter or do you have a short shifter?

Is your car parked outside? The cold weather can cause rough shifting, especially in the morning when the car's cold.

Try changing your tranny fluid before looking at syncros. That may correct the problem. If it doesn't, then my guess would be syncros, also.

There should be a drain plug on the bottom. Take that out. I'm not sure if there's a fill plug on it or not. If not, fill it through the dipstick tube.
