Default Blainestang. sorry i am an idiot. my appologies

for all to see here and know that when i am wrong i will admit it to everybody.

well i went back and checked my measurements on a 97 8.8 vs a fox 7.5 that i had laying around which is where i got my measurements from before when i stated the 94-98 axles are 1.5" wider than the fox. well stupid me didn't account for the pumkin size between the 2 and guess what the 8.8 with it's larger punkin measured longer than the 7.5 fox. stupid me. i measured my 7.5 in my car and got the same measurement. duhhh what a moron i am sometimes.

Blainestang you are correct the 79-98 rears are the same length. the axles on 94-98 are longer only to account for ABS wether the car has it or not no sense making 2 differen length axles for the same year.

please accept my appology as i getting in my old age seem to forget to account for the most obvious of things. and i argued with you till i was blue in the face when i was wrong all along because of my stupid mis-measurements.

on a side not i saw a huge buck hunting today but like the moron that i am didn't even get a shot off at it. dammit. first nice buck i have had a chance at in 3 yrs. damn thing was only 40yrds from me too. crap. oh well going back out in a few minutes to see if he is back so i can fvckkkit up again

Definitely surprised to see my name in the title of a thread

Thanks for the clarification, Cobra. You were starting to make me think, too. I was pretty sure that was the case from all my reading, but I hadn't checked for myself.

Thanks for setting it straight. I feel a lot better, now haha

like i said i am never afraid to say that i am wrong. and will admit it in front of everybody so all can see my mistake. no need to hide things like that. alot of "internet" experts hiude stuff like that. eiter by admitting they are wrong in PM or but not acknowledging it at all.

this does nothing for the rest of those out there seeking knowledge. my mistake and proper knowledge to those out there looking for an answer

he will still be around. i have this friday and saturday to hunt him. it's thick as hell behind my house and i caught that buck in a stupid moment but i was in a stupider moment.

i have 4 doe tags to fill the freezer and give one to a friend but antlers taste the best on the wall.

maybe friday i'll post my dad up there and push through the thick stuff for him. maybe one of us can crack him. he isn't the only Buck back there though. there are bout 6 bucks about the same size and 1 that's much bigger. i counted 13 points and estimated a spread of 20" inside or more. it like Vietnam back there though with all the ild Blackberry and multifloral rose. best thing to do is get in a tree stand and wait till mold grows on your ***

If more people felt the same way, we'd have a heck of a lot less mis-information out there.

Props to you, Cobra

Oh thank god lol

I was all worried that there might have actually been some oddball rear end out there that I hadn't run across. Good to know, right or wrong, we all make mistakes.

Hell I made the mistake of thinking that it was worth it to polish out my headlights instead of ordering a new set, well my lazyness cost me as much as a new set would have, since i went out and bought a buffer and several different polishes and compounds lol. And now I still plan to order different headlights anyway!
