You would ber better off getting the motor off that t-bird too, due to the lower compression motor etc

mdvaldosta is right on: you're probably looking at around a (1) compression difference in the motors (example: 8:1 compared to 9:1). That's my guesstimate based purely on dim memories, but it's probably close.

Anyway, if you're looking for all the hardware, that T-Bird is your best source. Unless you want to fabricate A LOT. If you've traded around and got this turbo without knowing where the source car is, then it would be worth it to get friendly with your local dealership parts guy. If nothing else, he can provide you with detailed picture breakdowns of the whole turbo setup and clue you in on casting numbers to be looking for in the yards.

As a 15 year parts guy, I can tell you that due to the relative rarity of the turbo cars (not that they didn't build many, but you just don't find them lying around in piles), you will probably have to get at least a few of the parts through the dealer. Of course, if you happen to live in an area with a good turbo supply house, they can fix you up with bits and pieces to get you huffing a lot cheaper.

I respect anyone who can pull off a successful turbo installation (not just a hack job), because I always figured I'd end up with a molten pile of metal somehow. Just an irrational fear, I guess.

GOOD LUCK! Tell us how it goes.

turbo went on like a glove, thanks to our parts dealer. i had to fabricate new lines to the turbo as well mandrel bending pipe to go from it to the intercoooler . we sent them off to be chromed when we remembered we were missing an essential part. the intercooler itself. so now i need to find an intercooler soon, before winter hits. the T.C. had the intercooler already taken off so i cant go back and get the one of it. does anyknow if another intercooler will fit?
