Default couple quick ?s

whats up everyone. Im new here and i have a bonestock 1988 Mustang Lx 4-banger. A friend of mine has a 5.0 i was going to buy but when the hurricane came thru it got crushed by a tree. She is still selling it for $400. My question is, would it be worth it to buy the 5.0 and swap out the motor, trans, and so on and so forth or can i get more power out of my little friend under the hood. BTW the 5.0 is an auto and mine is a 5-speed. How difficult would it be to change the 5-speed to auto. Also if anyone knows where i can find an overview of how to do the swap it would be GREATLY appreciated.

thanks for the help,bubba

It would be best imo to drop in the 5.0 for that price. Since you have a donor car it would be real easy to do. Swap the tanks, pedal assembly, cpu, wiring harness, motor, tranny, driveshaft, rear end, wheels and tires, hell whatever you can
