hey guys, I'm new to the stang world. Just bought a Torch Red Mustang with a black convertible top...


I'm looking at adding some flair to it.

First would be racing stripes. Would it be stupid to add stripes, since I've got the convertible top? The stripes would just be on the hood/back of the car, so wasn't sure on that. Also, what color would look best with it? I was thinking either white or black. And also, what are the costs of getting the stripes usually?

Second, I was thinking about adding black taillight covers to it as well, to go with with the (if I get black), the black racing stripes. How do you guys think this would look just to start off?

My fiancee and I are going on a vacation this summer, so she wants me to save as much money as possible, but I want to spend our vacation money on my car, lol

i think black stripes would look good on the red car, especially if you have a black top. if you really want to set off the looks, get a set of black bullitt style wheels...smokin!

those are the ones, brother. everyone has their own taste/style, but personally, i think a really bright color (ala your torch red) is complemented nicely by a darker color. you could also paint your spoiler black, and get a black chin spoiler, maybe side scoops and paint em black. i think it would look real, real nice.

What's your opinion on the black taillight covers? With the black theme I'll be adding, I think that would go nicely with it as well.

Seems like it would be an easy setup, for a really decent price.

And also, I'm not really a car guy, so forgive the dumb question. But for a hood scoop like that, I'll have to get it painted after I receive it, correct?
