Default where to get axles?

almost two weeks ago the GF hit black ice went over a curb a through a fence.. messed up the door, front fender and some trim.. also bent the front rim and the rear rim along with busting the rotor and bending the axle..

where do i get an axle, non abs for 7.5 rear and she's got 2.73 gears.. the junkyards around here probably won't part out the rear and want to sell the whole thing.. and the dealer wants 300 for 1 axle..

You should look for an 8.8
or
99-04 rear end

I would look around at a junk-yard and see what you can find. Junk-yards are usually pretty good about parting stuff out. They only want your money. lol Also it would be easier, cheaper, and faster to get it from a junk-yard rather than from the dealership or ordering it online and then paying shipping and handling as well as waiting for it to get to your house or wherever. You could probably take it to a mechanic and see if they can find a used axle for you. Most mechanics around here will look at junk-yards for used parts if you ask them to and they also get discounts on the parts.

monday morning i'm calling the junkyards. if i have to get a rear and the 8.8 fits then i would just go with that. i don't look forward to changing out a rear on a dirt driveway......

Most junkyards around me dont want to pull out axles, they just give you the whole rear end. Either look for a used one, or get new axles and do it yourself, either way it will prolly cost the same. Guessing hers is a 96? 94-98
