well my car isnt running like crap too much, but its idling at about 500 or so.

 

That si crap turst me.I had the same idle it is about 500rpms and what not.OK If pop the hood and give it some gas do u smell something very nasty umm say like stright exhast if so then it is ur egr pipe

 

ok, so, its most likely my egr pipe, the one that connects to my exhaust manifold? i havent checked the smell yet, its night and i like to be respectful to the neighbors.

 

Maybe i cant say for sure but that is what mean is u can just block off ur egr and ur car will run fine just ur check engine light will be on all the time untill u fix it.u will have to feel for leak on the pipe so let it cool and then start it up and run over ther and start feeling around before it gets to hot for u touch
