Into a 94 v6? Don't do it, it's not worth it. Do a search, not worth the time and effort! Most will say just sell it and buy the GT. If it's a 94 GT, same motor, not a problem! Good Luck!

is it a 5speed? im 90% sure the manual tranny in the six is compatible with the gt so other than springs, computer and some other minor stuff you should be set. http://www.mpsautosalvage.com/these guys do this kind of stuff all the time. just hit them up with any questions. How mechanically inclined are you? what are you doing with the gt?

Most would say sell it and buy the GT only if you were buying a whole new 5.0L engine. In this case, its most likely cheaper to swap since you have the engine already. Although a tranny is pretty expensive unless you plan on swapping that. Just my two cents . But sorry I couldnt help you on any compatibility issues.

Oh, it can be done, I know a guy who did it, and let me tell you, he's trying to sell it for 3800 and having a real hard time. Doesn't increase the value of the vehicle, it's still a v6 on paper, which is cool for insurance purposes, other than that, it's a whole lot of work for little pay off. Here in CA, you can buy a used 94-95 GT for 3-5k, depending on condition. For the same car, v6 instead, 2k - 2500 in good overall condition. Another 1k -1500 and you get the GT with the better suspension, rearend, motor, etc... The work involved doesn't justify doing the swap. If you have power tools and a donor, and the inclination,go for it! Good Luck!

You sure about that? I'm pretty sure the insurance company has to be notified if you upgrade the car to a v8...otherwise its insurance fraud. But hey maybe im wrong.

Yes, The Insurance Company Needs To Be Notified..Because If You Were To Total The Car And The Insurance Company Found Out You Would Be In Deep Crap...

If you have the donor car it shouldn't be a big problem. You can just take whatever parts you need from the GT and stick them in/on the V6. Why are you wanting to swap the engine? What is wrong with the GT, Body damage?

I probably wouldn't worry about doing it. I would just try and sell both cars and get a nicer, newer GT. JMO though.

No, you aren't wrong at all. You SHOULD notify them, but the chances of them looking under the hood is very unlikely. I've never had them go out and check under the hood. Usually just check the registration, and setup the policy. If you do get caught, it's all bad! Again, I wouldn't do the swap anyway so it doesn't apply to me.
