changing gears get you into your powerband faster and i rather go with the 3:73 for a 99-04 V6 dont know about your stang tho

they get you into the powerband faster, also better and more efficientlyutilize the horsepower you have now. the lower gear you go, the more it will effect your gas mileage, top speed, and also how fast you get to thattop speed. for example, you would get better mileage with 373's than 410's because 410's are alower gear. see a patern? I would say a good medium is 373's. but that's just my 2 cents.

3.73's are a great gear for a 94-98

great mileage and really good highway mannes combined with good traction on wet roads and the off the line grunt is very good.

www.mpsautosalvage.com has excellent quality used 7.5 rear 3.45 and 3.73 gears for $50
