A v6 mustang is a pony. Hence the reason it has pony emblems. A mustang gt is a mustang gt hence the badges and bumper. I test drove a '96 mystic cobra and an '04 mach 1 and I will never drive a sixxer again. The torque and power is phenomenal and you feel like theres no end to the power and you can just dive deeper and faster. That and pulling up to a light and throwing it into 2nd gives you a chubby every time.

Oh and putting gt badges on a sixxer is rice. I own a 94 pony and it IS slow as ****.
The 96 Cobra is not a fast car at all. It is a quick car but not a fast car. The same is true of the Mach 1. These comments are the reason why I do not think that half of the V6 population needs a V8. They think that 300hp is fast as hell. 300hp is definitely quick but it is not fast by any means. I am not trying to bash you spoke2go1, I am just making an observation on what I have seen a lot of V6 members post.

To the OP, do you think it will be any different with any other type of car you own? You have a GT, people ask why it isn't a Cobra, Get a Cobra, people ask why you didn't get a Vette. Get a Vette people ask why you didn't get a Euro car. The list goes on and on. You have to be happy with what you are driving and not get butt-hurt every time someone makes a comment about your car, 9 times out of 10 you will have a nicer car than them. lol
+1! Its all about what you think of your own car, if you are happy with it, you dont care what people say about you. I love my car! I do want a GT but know that I would probably crash it, hurt myself, or worse yet hurt somone else bc Ill want to use all that power under the hood!

unless you have euro's...if thats the case ill put your car out of its misery with a can of gas and a zippo lol

haha that made me laugh....but yeah i hear it all the time to.....but the fact that it is a mustang still makes our cars sweeter then most cars out there! and just think about all the gas we save since its so damn expensive right now! =)

yeah thats another thing i love the insurance at 17, its ridiculously high for the v8 though

becausenits not a 5.o
How stoned/drunk were you when you made this comment? I make much more coherent posts when I am stoned/drunk. lol

I was following along until you said the bold part. Do you mean that the 5.0 is not a V8? or that the 5.0 is cheaper on insurance? That post was confusing.
im sorry i wasnt thinking
i posted that part in bold in response first is a follow up for the insurance thing and the 5.0 is in response to jthorn9's question to why 5.o guys would laugh at you cause its a 4.6 and not a 5.o

Well a 5.0 is cheaper on full coverage than a 4.6L for me, much much cheaper, don't ask why but it is, hell my 5.0 is cheaper than my old 98 sixer I had.

Just a little FYI, 300 rwhp is fairly fast. It's not blow your pants off fast, but it's fast enough for an inexperianced person to crash.
+1 When I was a youngster (20), I had a 66 charger 440 with 380hp before I modded it, and wasn't used to the suregrip. Boy, let me tell you, I tried to take a 90 degree turn like I normally would with a 1 legger, wasn't pretty at all. I almost landed into Kmart's parking lot, luckily I saved it, but not recommended if your not used to the power. To be honest, it scared me and I learned something about my driving that day, don't full throttle a 90 degree with a posi rear end with close to 400 hp. After I took off the cast iron intake, cast iron waterpump, and put headers (hooker super comps)on it (hp manifolds b4), really woke up that big block. I had other fast cars but that was my first lesson of 400hp. It will and can get away from you real quick if your not careful. I know plenty of people when I was in high schoolwho wrapped 5.0's around telephone poles and such, and weren't even close to 400hp.

i hear ya man. reminds me of a friend of mine from high school..he owned a 70's chevelle that he wanted to get cute with in front of the high school chicks on a rainy day, wound up taking out three trees in the median of the road and totalled the car.

A mustang is a mustang no matter the engine. We are all here as "mustang enthusiasts". I just got my first stang 2 weeks ago and I have wanted one ever since i got my license. Its a v6, but i can still say i have a mustang. Sure, i would have loved to have a gt, but insurance and gas would have bent me over because im only 20 y.o.I can make it more powerful. Besides,I just love to put the imports in their proper place.
And on a side note -----------CHEVY BLOWS A**
