So what about a GT that has Cobra parts and more than Cobra power, what is that? Cobra, or GT?
Only if I can have a V6 GT Bullitt Roush Stage 1, 2, 3 SVT Cobra R, Terminator. [8D]

(Note to self, buy something off a Mach 1 to complete the package.)
you forgot 99/01 cobra.
in that case, power wise mines a V6 and thats it, looks wise...V6, GT, Bullitt, Roush stage 1, 99/01 Cobra, Terminator, Mach 1

A v6 mustang is a pony. Hence the reason it has pony emblems. A mustang gt is a mustang gt hence the badges and bumper. I test drove a '96 mystic cobra and an '04 mach 1 and I will never drive a sixxer again. The torque and power is phenomenal and you feel like theres no end to the power and you can just dive deeper and faster. That and pulling up to a light and throwing it into 2nd gives you a chubby every time.

Oh and putting gt badges on a sixxer is rice. I own a 94 pony and it IS slow as ****.
The 96 Cobra is not a fast car at all. It is a quick car but not a fast car. The same is true of the Mach 1. These comments are the reason why I do not think that half of the V6 population needs a V8. They think that 300hp is fast as hell. 300hp is definitely quick but it is not fast by any means. I am not trying to bash you spoke2go1, I am just making an observation on what I have seen a lot of V6 members post.
Yeah I guess 305ish Hp isnt fast at all because all you see rollin around these days are twin turboed supras and top fuel dragsters...
Hell have you ever driven the pitiful excuse of a 6 they put in the 94-98's? Yeah my 145hp just throws me into my seat and the tires are just bursting into flames with all the torque! No, most of the sixxer population doesnt need a V8 but thats because they can barely handle what theyve got and want to street race with hondas. I on the other hand have had my fun with the six and want to graduate if you will to the V8. Not because you cant do anything with the 3.8 but because stock for stock its alot better. That and the V8 gurgle is sex. [8D]

And considering that most cars on the road i.e. your toyota camrys and honda accords have 4 bangers with 150-160 hp, 300 hp is fast as hell.

No 300hp is not fast as hell. You always like to argue about stuff that you have no comprehension about. I said that 300hp is quick, which it is, it is not fast though... Like I stated I was not taking a shot at you, You however decided to take it personally...

I don't understand why everyone thinks that they need 300-400-500+hp when for the most part they can't handle 200hp. This time I was taking a shot at you.You think you can handle 305hp? Post up pictures when you end up in the ditch trying to show off.

Yeah I wasnt always ready for 300 hp, thats why my first car was a six but Ive learned and Ive gotten alot of experience. Ive destroyed two rims because I decided to try and "drift" and over corrected onto a sidewalk. Ive gotten a speeding ticket because I decided to try and be a badass and went 64 in a 40 and had to go to court because of it.Andwhen I wentI took the judge seriously when he said "Dont let me catch you in here again!" And now unlike my other friends who have gotten 4 speeding tickets I do the limit and put it into cruise control. Ill admit I wasnt ready for 300hp and I wasnt mature enough for it but Ive proven that I am.

I dont need 300 hp, they just dont make the mustangs I want with less that that. lol And Im not trying to take what your saying personal, the drawbacks of an internet forum is the fact that you cant tell the manner in which somebody is saying something.

But anyways what is your definition of fast? is it 400hp? 500? maybe 1200? 300hp is fast enough for anyone and is really as fast as Im comfortable enough in and the fact that I can get a V8 with that much stock just means I wont have to spend extra money on modding it just to get there.

OK. My bad, I thought you took it personally. Sorry for being an ***.

I don't really have a definition of fast. My definition of fast would probably differ greatly from what most people's would. I don't neccessarily think that going fast ina straight line is fun. I am much more interested in handling. If I were to give a specific number for fast though, I would say that 400hp in a car that weighs under 3,500 lbs is fast to me.

For me, a New Edge GT with full bolt-ons and H/C/I would be more than fast enough. That would be around 300-330 rwhp. I have experience with fast cars and for the most part they don't really matter to me. I like nimble cars.

yes, fast is relative, and a lot of people who get into modding cars after watching "the movie" (you KNOW which one im talking about) think they need a 400-500 hp car, since thats what the guy on tv had...most people wont use or need anything like that. im suprised more people dont build their suspensions, as that IS something you could feel and benefit from on a daily basis, as would brake work, and body mods/looking good. l

ol, this coming from a guy who is saving for his engine build. but i do know how to drive, and know some places where i can open her up.

+1 'fast' is relative. A GT is definatly fast compared to a v6...Hell, a v6 is fast compared to a Geo. But I know what you guys mean by saying that 300hp isn't the fastest thing out there. I think the fastest car I've driven was my dad's C5 'vette...That was exciting, especially when you have only driven a v6 stang for3 years.

Just a little FYI, 300 rwhp is fairly fast. It's not blow your pants off fast, but it's fast enough for an inexperianced person to crash.
