Nos On A V6=New Engine After A Couple Shots....

I Would Put A Turbo Or Supercharger In It...Worth The Time And Money...In My Opinon
Which is exactly why their are guys who have been running a 75wet shot fro over a year and still dont have new engines.

first off all 94+ 3.8's are OBDII which they make tuners for

secondle and i can't believe it wasn't mentioned is a supercoupe supercharger install. you can find a complete supercoupe swap setup on EBAY for under $1000. it will get you 190rwhp but almost 300ftlbs and with 3.45 or 3.73 gears will get you into the mid 13's with practice on a stock engine.

as for a t-lok forget it. any power to it and they blow the spyders or the clutchpacks wear out. you have to get a stronger differential like a detroit truetrac which is almost $500 but it's alot stronger than the t-lok.

detailed parts needed to do the supercoupe swap can be found at 3.8mustang.com or v6power.net.

it's your best option for power and you can always build the engine and go for a magna portIII blower setup from www.magnumpowers.com in the future. over 400rwhp is possible with the supercoupe setup

If you are needing head work anyway you might as well do a split port swap. That's +53 hp right there. Do some port and polish work before you put it on and you'll get even more. I bought a set of ready to go heads and intakes for under 300 bucks.

i have an 02 3.8 and i would like 50 somethin horsepower just froma "split port swap" what is that and how can i do it?

you already have a splitport. 99+ 3.8's and 97+4.2's were splitport

Im new to this game with the "6ers" concept. I know what they develop stock and I know where I want to be. What Im looking forare the books and research to get there. As we know 3.8 parts arn't easy to find. Im looking for some one who has a reliable turbocharger and what it took to get tuend. and do I whant to work from the exust forward or from the intake back. Any help is nice.

cheap mods don't do anything. you get what you pay for. get a dual exhaust. best bang for your buck. looks, sound, and hp. probably be around $400 for a fab'd setup
duals on a V6 is great but you cant evn feel the power gain and really isnt the best bang for your buck. a 42% UDP or 3.73 /4.10 gears is prolly the best bangs for the buck on the 3.8, I could actually feel the free'd up horsepower on my 3.8s after I installed them in mid range rpms as for the gears I felt like a rocket taking off with my 4.10s compared to stock gears. If you want to get some serious h/p to the wheels save up 2400$ and goto Moronaracing.com or supersixmotorsport.com and pick up a power package and gain from 50 to 90 horses with there heads, cams, lower & upper intake manifolds all ported and polished, throw on a set a rocker arms and youll be sitting a v6 beast. I pushed closed to 300hp at the wheels with a set up from tom morona's site minus the comp cams.
