Default header questions

Will the 94-98 shorty headers fit on a 01 vert?

The stock shorties? Yep. Pretty sure that is a common mod considering the 94-98's flow better than the new edge's.

Is there a real point to doing that?

I mean since shorties = pointless wouldn't those = pointless also?

The point of the swap isn't so much for power but to get rid of the problematic stock manifolds. If your loggers haven't cracked yet it's likely they will eventually so if you want to save yourself some trouble in the future then go for it. I think they produce better exhaust sound also and they look just as nice as a set of shortys under the hood if you hit them with some ceramic paint. For 20 something bucks it's hardley a big waste of money.
