I dont suggest long tubes.. idont feel they're needed...although some swear by them...

im running stock headers& stock cats.. an X pipe, cutouts, and flowmaster 40's and it sounds nice...

sounds better with the cutouts open. i have them basically bypassing the flowmasters, and coming out the sametailpipe... (this was so i didn't have to smell exhaust)...

but iswear bythe X pipe

once you have an exhaust... do some engine work, and it will sound even better

You can't beat Long Tubes for sound.

I had turbo mufflers on my 02 than upgraded to the Flowmaster Force II exhaust system from Summitracing.com. I like the sound alot better than the stock muffler and the turbo mufflers. It gives you a deeper sound. It sounds the best on start up and @ 3000+ RPM

lets see the clostest way to get any way near a GTi would imagine would be as follows IMO

exhaust: LT's, h/x OR midpipe, mufflers of choice(i like flows)
and then do induction/ engine work like a cam upgrade with supporting mods P&P heads bigger induction all together and maybe and intake spacer while your at that point for S&G's

maybe im stupid but that sound right

to get anything close to a gt takes motor work and time

the gain wont be much, not for a 6, stick to the flow 40's. you'll enjoi the sound more. you could always go for straight pipes too.

What are straight pipes?
