has this happen to anyone else my mustang seems to speed up by it self sometime it is like cruise control is always on is this common or something i have a 2000 auto

Sounds like an IAC problem to me. 75 dollar fix and is easy to change! GL

well if it is the IAC then all you would have to do is take the old one off and slap the new one on. its just two bolts that you loosen, and i think you have to disconnect the sensor as well to get the IAC off. im still new to this too obviously, but the IAC is located onyour throttle body.

i would try cleaning the iac first with carb cleaner and then try it out. if thats not it then u may need a new one. i dont really know what could be causing it tho
