Default Chrome plating rims?

I have polished alum SVT 03 rims and I can't keep them clean. I will polish them up a lot and clean them off every time i'm done driving but they always return to a dull shine with almost a pasty look to them. I think the clear coat might be gone... Does anyone have any suggestions? I have heard you can send you rims into a shop and get them chrome plated? Does anyone know of such a place?

black wheels on your car would look hot. you can get them powder coated at your local body shop...just call around, they can give you a price quote.
