Default 3.73 gear ratio

Does it really improves your performance and will it help a lot with competing against a 94-98 v8?

it will help you accelerate considerably quicker than before but you would need good supporting mods to stang a chance with a V8. If you drive a stick and get 3.73s you might beat a 94-95 v8 but itd be a drivers match.

They make a huge difference. Do you mind losing some gas mileage?

i put 3.73s on my 96 and man it gets up and going way better than before. Remember to get the gear to adjust your speedo or it will throw you way off.
