Default Am I wrong?

my mustang has 17" gt alloy rims with semi-lo-pro tires. (not quite stock sidewall, but not the thinnest you can get, sorry i dunno much about tires)
is this ok? I like them but i haven't seen anyone on here who doesn't want some sort of aftermarket rims. I really, really like my gt rims.
Can I lower my car 1.5" with these rims/tires? I don't want it sitting crazy low, I just want a "meaner" look. Can I just cut the springs, like in the how to? If so, what's the best tool to use for that? Can I put a mach 1 chin spoiler if I lower it 1.5"? i don't want to scrape it on speed bumps.

Yea I am rolling with 18 inch Saleen Wheels on H&R Springs which is about 1.5 inch.........my tire size is 265 35 18 I also have the chin spolier and havent scraped it yet..... something hanging under your car will scrape before the chin spoiler it is also flexible as well....

If you cut your shocks, you'll be fukked. It's totally safe to cut your stock SPRINGS. Just make sure you have carefully read the full how-to and you'll be ok.

Everyone who says cutting springs is bad has no idea or experience with what they're talking about. Cutting stock springs is fine, since they're not progressive rate. You won't effect the spring rate by cutting them.
