The problem isdo to mis-matched size of blower to motor. The M112 is just ok for the 4V, butHUGE for the 3.8L/4.2L motors, and makes it much more efficient on the "hp per psi" than the 4V Cobras made.

A stroker kit...
= new crank,
pistons,
and connecting rods...
And if you combine that with a .060 over bore you get a 4.3L engine...

Please correct me if I'm wrong about the .060 but I think that's wut I saw posted in another forum...

The 4.2L F-150 has the same block as our 3.8...
It just has different internals...
(Crank, pistons, connecting rods)

If you're going for a stroker kit I would pay a little bit more for the 4.3L kit from SSM. With that you can toss a lot of boost or spray at it.

You will also need the 01+ 3.8L oil pan for clearance and upper and lower intake. Just geta 4.2Lshortblock, toss on a 01+ oil pan and all your old 3.8 stuff.
And SSM FTW!
