I've wondered this myself, would doing that be bad for an auto transmission?


Also, notice that you have to make a long pull to go from N to 1.

NO NEVE NEUTRAL DROP AN AUTO. thats the worst thing you could do to it and youll end up in need of another Lauching in firsrt and shifting up is safe, but dont downshift it. In all reality tho the inly way to effectively launch an auto is powerbreaking. it wont hurt the brakes very much if your not spinning the tires while powerbraking

never neutral drop an auto unless your tranny is built for it! i made that mistake in my mark VII 1 too many times, and ended up paying 3000 to have the tranny rebuilt. but stronger to handle the stress.

your best bet is to drop 4.11's in the rear and put a 3000 rpm stall converter on it.

atco is a closer raceway track then englishtown and its cheaper to race also the power breaking is ur best way to launch ur auto
