Default Door splitter delete

Im not sure how else to explain the peice of plastic that is glued in the center of my doors (as seen in my sig). I am wondering what exactly this little peice of trim is held on by, and how complicated removing it would be. Would my door need to be repainted in that section, or is there paint under the trim? What I really want to do is to peel the trim off, and buff out any left over residue to be left with a nice clean look of the GTs and other V6's. Does anyone know what I am talking about, or any experieces with this?

Thanks for any help.

Hah, around here I could probably just sit it in the sun and pull. So, will I need to worry about repainting the covered area?

I dont think so, but im not 100% im fairly certain the door under it would be painted already, mine came without 1. I dont like them at all, kinda distracts from the cars curves.

When I took mine off, just to test the waters, I used body plugs to fill the holes and painted them with touch-up paint.

RyansQuick6 has got it right, I just want to see how I like it. It's nothing permanant, and hopfully one day I'll be sporting a Cobra or Saleen wing.

Well, so far today I have taked my rear spoiler off, and it looks NICE! The only problem is the residue left behind by glue. I've scrubed it with some soap and water (had to be careful because I don't have plugs for the holes yet), and it lightened it up. Does anyone have a solution to getting this stuff off? I want to finish my spoiler before I do the door trim, I know it will leave the same residue behind.

Thanks again, I'll be getting pictures in just a few minutes! The batteries are dead [sm=headbang.gif]
