i was gonna suggest the goo gone as well. something stronger, but harsher as well, if "goof off", which you can get at the hardware store. it smells like thinner, though, super strong. you could try scrubbing it with a harsh cloth and that. might i also suggest an orbital buffer and some polishing compound? if the residure or fade is in the clear, you can buff a lot of it out that way. good luck.
Look at the door of my car in my sig, and compare it to amrcnidyot's door. We are talking about the piece that is in the middle of mine, removing it, and looking smooth like Amrcnidyot's.
I want to remove mine because it's messed up on one part. I have a 96 though. do you guys think it'll look good?
also- try 3M rubbing compound. it comes in a black squeeze bottle, i got it at autozone. i just did my entire car with it the other day to remove some fine scratches. i've used it on residue and it works great.
