Default Brake problem!

Ok, couple of months ago I replaced my front rotors and pads. Now my front right brake begins to squel again. What could that be?

could be the caliper sticking. are they your oem claipers? if so, and you gotta replace em, time for an upgrade!

Well I don't knowwhat else, the rotors and pads are new. Maybe something about the wires, but that just don't make sence! Gotta be calipers, but I'll pass on them for now, maybe next spring...unless it gets really bad!

Brake squeal is usually caused by the pad vibrating in the caliper. That's why you generally only hear it with light to moderate braking. Ceramic pads also squeal, but at such a high frequency we can't hear it.

Remove the outboard pad. Clean the back of the pad and the caliper finger well with a wire brush and some brake parts cleaner. Apply a liitle Permatex "Disc Brake Anti-Squeal" to the contact area. It's a blue goo, almost like glue. Re-assemble. Press the brak pedal lightly; just enough to seat the pads. Let the car sit over night. That should fix it for about $3.

I used to drive a Dodge Ram truck that needed this treatment about once a year.

you could also bend the squealer back on the brakes.. you get extra miles outta the pads by doing this also
