It is what delivers the spark to your spark plugs. The stock ones suck therefore i bought that screamin-deamon coil and installed it (very easy). It is a very good idea to improve your top end very noticably. However you should rebuild the whole ingition sytem (wires and spark plugs) to get full advantage of its power. I have MSD 8.5mm wires and NGK plugs. It also helps gas mileage..however i gapped my plugs at .065 (the limit with the screamin deamon coil) so that also helps to get full power from that coil...basically you should have bought it yesterday..its bada$$ man.
