How much of a difference is there between Arco and other gas companies??? Cause i use Arco most of the time and i was wondering if it would mess with my engine in the long run. thanks

ok so maybe i should re question it.....
What is the main difference between a very well know gas company compared to one the it not as well known such as shell or mobile compared to a gas company that only exist in a certain state?

i go to Arco, mainly cause theyre about 18 cents cheaper than all other places. but i dont see any difference or think there would be any difference. the other ones are just more expensive because Arco gets its oil from somewhere else.

I have readmany articals about Arcos gas not being nearly as good as most. I use Chevron because it has Techron is it, and its close to me.

i think ARCO has more ethanol in it so it burns faster. So your paying for watered down gas....

I live in Ca, and I can tell you first hand, ARCO gas SUCKS!! I cheap out sometimes and go to Arco, and I can tell the different performance wise. Especially when it gets hot, with cheap gas, little ol' sixxer will ping a little! It's not like it's high compression or anything!!

Because one main factor is the cheapest place for gas at a 76 or chevron is $4.51 and at the Arco is $4.40 so should i spend the extra money on the 76 andChevron then the Arco in your guys opinion?

I guess you can look at it this way - you get what you pay for
