4.2l swap
LOL I helped Vap Auto make a egr friendly kit and i am the one geting the winstar intakes for him. That is a greater to a 4.2 but it still says 3.8 on it.
I am running a gt exhast system, cai, windstar intake, and shiftkit in my auto trans.....I would love to have a 4.2. I found 3 some far today the one guy wanted 1200 for it. the only says there is something wrong with it $200. so i will be pickin up the broken one if it is saveable.
i am still looking for a more detailed how to on this. but I dont think it will be able to run down or out run my 76 Camaro lt (350 lt1 motor) any time soon.

I had an 02 4.2L F150, which like the 01+ 3.8's, was just plain more efficient than it's predicesors[sic]. I actually got 28mpg out of my 4.2L F150 with nothing more than removing the mech. fan in favor of electrics, and a Hooker muffler that was dumped pre-axle. I also had a drop and lightning front end on it, but that's irrelevent. I think the drop may have helped due to much better aerodynamics, but still, I managed 28mpg highway in a full sized truck with a V6!
Here's a video of me romping on my OLD sixer way back in the day lol
It's me it's me!!!!
Just wait until I get to make my video when the stang is painted with the
