flowmaster cat back
I'm thinking about putting a flowmaster catback system on my wife's 2k1 v6.I don't want to piece together a system with gt tailpipes. It comes with the 40 series mufflers, and since it is a system designed for the car, there is no welding, and i can do it myself at home. Does anyone have this on their v6? Any sound clips? thanx
seems like kind of a waste. you'd need the little adapter to use a GT catback on the v6. you're just paying for the flowmaster name. if you weren't against it, you could just get one of the other mufflers are the same thing as the flowmasters and get it all fabbed for a fraction of the price.
yep flowmaster is expensive i know that. my neighbor has the exact same car as i do a 40th mustang. he has no cold air intake i have no cold air intake "yet" (damn AM and there stock). neway i was talking to him one day on his way out and i said why do u have duals on ur 6, they come stock with a single dont they. he said yea man that is my flowmaster catback i said those are flowmaster. i was like w.e takeoff as fast as u can let me hear. he did and i barley herd it. soundedpretty closeto stock it was not even funny. got my set up listed in my sig. payed 650 bucks for parts and instal and its emmisions legal. you can actually hear myne it sounds so much better than his which doesnt sound at all, and myne is TRUE dual.
spark notes: my True dual sounds SO much better than my neighbors flowmaster fake-dual catback. so he can say he's got flows but i can say i have header back dual and it sounds much better.
