Default fuel filter location

okay heres the deal, i was driving along in my stock 2.3L mustang on the highway and it stalled at 120km/h so i pulled over and tried to start and it wouldnt, so i waited a minute and got her going again, i managed to get off the highway only to have it stall again, and again, so i filled her to the top with gas, but only 25 litres went in, so it wasnt that. i was told that by the sound im getting a small amount of fuel but not enough to run on. so thus the fuel filter is clogged. now im trying to find my fuel filter and my service manual pictures suck, it just says its mounted somewhere on the framerail close to the gas tank. do any of you have a picture of its location, or just a better description of where to find it? thanks

It will have a hose cramp on each end attaching it to the fuel line. I would just follow the fuel line from the gas tank and when you find a large black cylinder connected with hose clamps to the fuel line.

Unfortuanatly I'm not sure where its located. Your going to have to jack the car up and follow the fuel line from the gas tank. On most cars its about a foot or two away from the gas tank.
