Default Insert removal help

Hi Guys! You know the plastic inserts that go in the hood scoop and the side scoops? Well, I want to remove them and paint them semi gloss black. Does anyone know how to remove these pieces properly? Thanks!

yeah it was pretty good... got rid of that greyish flat look... i did the grille and everything

just use the Krylon high gloss black that sticks to plastics and it works great

on the side inserts you have to pop the top part loose first and then slide it up and out cause the bottom has a sort of tab holding it in place.
