Necessito uno stang

3. For your first car I would say go with one of the older models, nothing 99 or newer. Insurence will kill you, even if your not paying for it right now, you will be soon enought.

Anyways, Id say a mustang would be a great first car as long as you drive semi-responsibly. Keep her under 90 and dont take turns on two wheels lol.
Also, check into r-titled cars. I bought my 01 for $4800 (probably still paid a little too much), and the only problem with it is that it has a slight wobble at highways speeds (Im pretty sure its a bent wheel). If a wrecked car is fixed correctly, itll drive just fine. Its the ones that were thrown back together that you have problems with.
just w/e you do... stay away from car max... they will charge you an arm and a leg (10,000) for a 2003 v6 stang with 40,000 miles on it... that';s what they tried to charge me... then i saw on autotrader another 2003 v6 with 38,000 miles for 7 grand... which is what I'm driving today... it's all on how well u shop,

Insurance for me is the same no matter what i have. My 3 banger metro cost the same as my 3.8 "sports car" mustang...Im only 20, so maybe its just my ins company...

Yea, look around, mustangs go for decent prices, but it depends on how much you have to spend. Since you're still a kid (under 21) I'd suggest you stay with a sixer. GTs/Cobras are very nice to have at a young age, but let's be frank here, younger people are much, much, much more likely to race, and being that they have minimal experiance, they are also just as likely to wreck with a large majority of minors taking personal injury with a nice fraction being injured for life or dieing. When I was 18 I bought a 98 V6, and had I had the car I had now, I'd probably be either dead, or not driving a Mustang as I would have wrecked it.
There is a huge parts market for Mustangs, more so V8s than sixers, however you can still find lots of sites with a few performance parts for sixers if that itch gets to you.
As far as MPG goes you average sixer will get around 24/25 mpg on the highway. My old 98 got around 27, and the 2000 gets around 26 ish.

don't be afraid of mileage, mustangs run for ever. also a rear ended mustang is easy to fix and it will go pretty cheap. i bought my 95 V6 for $750 pulled the trunk out for $150 and the car looks like new, i just need to take care of a scratch on the passenger side door.
