Default Dumps?

Anybody here have dumps/turndowns after the mufflers? I currently have a Long tube set up with flows, anybody have an idea of what it will sound like?

Ihad dumps with my magnaflows for a while, i liked it, but I prefer my new exhaust with the tips in the rear. makes it much more quiet in the car when cruising.

i have flowmaster then dumps. But i wouldnt ever do it again, im going to be putting pipes back on it becuz cruising does get a lil annoying after a while. The drone also is terrible. When it hits their sweet spot it gets loud inside. You will like it in the beginning but after a while it will just get old

DRONE NEVER GETS OLD!!! I love my set up single chamber flowmasters with an H pipe and 90 degree turn downs right after! When you put the turn downs it gives it a meaner beefy tone due to the way that it resonates off the floor into the car. In my opinion it probably the best thing to do on a 6, I mean think about it a meaner, beefier, and lower tone you cant go wrong. Another thing is that if your using a two chamber flow it will never get to the point where its too loud

I have Borla's dumped and it sounds good, but the exhaust at a stop gets old really quick.

Its honestly a little more rhaspy though, at least in my case.

I am going to full pipes this month, already have them just lazy is all.

I will eventually get a video of both with and without.

Btw, the new exhaust replaces the Borla's with a pair of Series 40 2 chambers.

Hope it sounds better
You can listen to my exhaust without mufflers if you want. The quality is a$$ because I took it with a point N shoot digital camera.

This is for joe2391, yeah flowmaster does have ALOT of good muffs, but it all depends on what your after. What I wanted was the meanest, the beefiest, the loudest, the best sounding, and the best performing exhuast. So I knew I needed dumps and a dual exhaust. Now for the mufflers, no matter what anyone says flowmasters are the best sounding mufflers hands down! None of this "get theses they sound exactly the same" huh no they dont thats why flowmaster puts patents on all of their mufflers so that no one else can sound exactly as they do. And "Magna flow has better performance" yeah but at the price of having mustang sound like someone slappped on some glass packs because thats all magna flows are big glass pack. So this is why I went with the best. I got the single chambers because no matter what we do we could never get ours exhaust to be unbearably loud. And thats why the single chamber were the best choice (the smaller and shorter the muffler the louder it gets). At first I had flowmaster single chambers, true duals, and 90 degree dumps right after the muffs, but I drive alot on the free way and mustangs drone alot around 2000rmps - 2300rmp (67mph-73mph) and it started rattle and loosen alot of thing in the interior so i added an H-pipe. The H-pipe has its + and - th plus is that it keeps a bass sound through out the rpm range (DO NOT GET AN X-PIPE no need in making a mustang sound like a rice burner) and the negative is that its not as loud. If you go with the two chamer go with the original 40s but if I was you go single chambers there is nothing like it and not that many people have them

Also if you due the single chamber with dumps DO NOT GET THE CATS REMOVED you would already have an extermely high flow exhuast and you would lose more low end torque so leave them on.

Does anyone here have to pass emissions with their mustang? How do you get around that with dumps.
