Default clutch help

i put a clutch in my 95 3.8 mustang but now the clutch arm wont push the throw out into the pressure plate fingers. does anyone know about this. an auto parts website list's 3 different clutches all that say they fit the 1995 car. thing with that is that they have a link to check on what the clutches interchange with and the years are all different. exp- one said that it fit 94-98, then another said 94-2002, the last one said it fit 94-2004 whats up with ford?

i have posted some pics. one is the old pp and the new ont that im haveing trouble with that i put in the car.

im thinking that i have the wrong pressure plate in the car. what i wonder is can i use the new clutch disk and old pressure plate? or put a different arm in it that will give me the right angle i need? i put the darn thing in the car also so if their is an easy fix i need the information please. i hate ford. why would the part fit in the car if it was the wrong one.

also this is my first car clutch install. other wise, i have put about 50 diesel clutches in and they had the throw out attached to the pressure plate via one long tube, with wood holding the fingers in.

what im getting at. is their some reason that the p.p. fingers would be depressed for ease of install? is their some reason that the fingers are depressed or do i have the wrong pressure plate?
