I was at a stop sign, hit the gas (not all that hard) and something definitely went wrong. My car started shaking and idling very rough and my check engine light came on. I immediately pulled to the side of the road (fearing that i would do more damage if i kept driving). I shut it off and turned it back on 3-4 times with 10-15 minutes in between each and it was still doing it. My car is currently under warranty so I had it towed and stuff but the service center it's at isn't open again until Monday so I was just wondering if anybody could give me some insight on what the problem could potentially be. It's under bumper-bumper warranty but still, i'd rather it not be serious and take a lot of time.

 

hmm...sounds like what happened when my spark plug cracked in my '96.

I assume this is an '04, how many miles?

The check engine light will most likely reveal the problem, if it came on when the problem started.

 

Hmm yeah sounds like a spark plug issue but i'm a noob =]

 

Yeah it's an '04, there are roughly 21,100 miles on it. I hope it's just a spark plug problem.

 

Pull the codes first. If the check engine light is on, pull the codes!
