IACV maybe? (That's just my guess anyway)

I assume it's not throwing a CEL?

i don't know how it's called, but it's a black sensor on top of the TB, it regulates the air flow. i paid 100 form mine, but i had my shop install if for me.

The IAC is adjustable on the mustang?? Most IAC's are not adjustable, they get carbon build up and cause idle problems, such as low idle and stalling. But high idle can be caused by a out of adjustment tps. Anyways, maybe the mustang is different than other cars i have worked on.

^ how high? Most engines idle higher than normal until they reach normal operating temp.
