my car idles high now when i start it it idles at 2000 then slowly comes down to about 800-900 but everytime i let off the gas while im driving the rpms dont come down unless i come to a complete stop for a while and the problem is continuous. could this be a bad tps sensor or something else
i don't know how it's called, but it's a black sensor on top of the TB, it regulates the air flow. i paid 100 form mine, but i had my shop install if for me.

Probably IAC, as mentioned. There cheap and easy to fix. GL
The IAC is adjustable on the mustang?? Most IAC's are not adjustable, they get carbon build up and cause idle problems, such as low idle and stalling. But high idle can be caused by a out of adjustment tps. Anyways, maybe the mustang is different than other cars i have worked on.
