Find a place where they have hot water and good pressure. Use the degreaser let is sit awhile and blast with the hot water. If you have access to a air compressor then use the air blow gun to dry it off. It will look good!

heck i dont cover up anything honestly. but that could be why i have a wiring problem. hmmm.....anyways, cover up the fuse box even though it has the cover.and the alternator probably wouldnt hurt either....just to be on the safe side....i mean heck nathan drove his car nonstop with a texas sized hole in his hood and never had problems.....but it doesnt hurt to be safe

I covered up any obvious wire connectors (just because I can), the alternator, unplugged the battery, and the fuse box, and sprayed it down with water, took some degreaser and a toothbrush and went to town, spraying it off every few minutes, otherwise it just dries back on lower in the bay, and then it's harder to get to.
