I recommend that you go easy on the spraying and do it area by area. I sprayed down the entire engine bay and got to work and had issues with water/cleaner getting into places it shouldent (had my alt bagged only) and was just a mess. If you do it slowly then you wont have problems if you cant or dont want to finish it all in one go.

I went to the local Checkers and bought myself a can of CD2 Engine Detailer. Covered up my Alt, Battery, Belts, Filter, and other messes of wires and all i had 2 do is spray the stuff on and leave on for 20 min. Then drive around a little to let the stuff seal. My engine looks shines and looks amazing now. Go with CD2 =].
