Default Squeek from front right wheel.

I have a squeek coming from somewhere in the front right corner. you can hear it when ever I drive over a bump or if you push down on the front right fender. Could it be the strut? any ideas would be helpful.

Control arm bushings, balljoint, tie rod end, spring isolators, or even sway bar end links. Take that wheel off and get in there and look for wear. Also check the hub.

do you have a bumpsteer kit? is your car lowered?

I wouldn't imagine the bumpsteer squeeking, but mine is in the mail right now, so I don't know, but I have similar squeeks front and rear.

I don't have a bump steer. I was asking because I am under the impression that bump steer is a replacement for ball joints. is that correct? are ball joints something I can do if I jack it up and take the wheel off? I am very good at working on cars but I lack the knowledge but if it's nothing too crazy and it can be done with basic tools then I'm sure I can handle it myself.

you have to use a balljoint press, and you can rent it from a parts store. You just have to be careful with the new one so as not to mar the arm or the sleeve on the joint and don't tear the boot. Since you're not lowered a bumpsteer kit would hurt you, it's meant to correct steering geometry from lowering.

Yea ball joints aren't that hard of a job if your mechanically inclined. Basically a pickle fork, air hammer, assorted sockets and a few other tools and you can do it in your driveway in a few hours.

I recently replaced mine because of the same squeaky noise. It wasn't that hard but I had a friend to point me in the right direction when I ran into trouble. Did both sides in about 2 hours.
