Default Door panel questions

Hey my window wont go up right now. I think it is a burnt out motor because the exact same thing happened probabaly a year ago. I have a 2002 mustang v6 and I wanted to prop the window up until i have time to get the motor fixed or replace it so i dont have to use trash bags. Any one know how to get the door panels off like if there is a special tool for the fasteners or where the screws to release the panel are or if you just pry it off and hope nothing breaks? This would really help me if you know. Thanks

Im not sure how to take the whole thing off but I do know that you will have to take the inside cover off the side mirror, also your going to have the pop the door handle cup out (the cover for the door opener latch) and also the arm rest cover (that pops up and off with a screw driver), but dont pull it to hard you have wired attached to it that control the power mirrors so reach under and un-attach that pigtail. There is also a black plastic plug on the bottom of the door panel where the hinges for the door are that you have to pop out. Good luck, if you need pics let me know.

pull the inside mirror cover off... there are 2 screws behind the "handle cover", and a black plug near the bottom at the front of the door...

when you pull the handle cover out, there are 2 screws that hold the power window switch assembly to the handle cover.. take those out, and lay them in the door so they dont get caught..

lift up on the panel, and lean it toward you and look down in the door to see all the plastic clips -- try not to break them...

also your "auto down" window computer is attached near the rear of the cover.. there is a pigtail connector on it that just pops apart.... dont forget about it and try and walk away with the panel..

you really shouldn't need pictures...

If it isn't stuck and will put up then you can do that. but it hopefully isn't stuck.

It's pretty self explanitory how to get the door panels off, but you can always buy a haynes manual at Autozone or your local auto parts

If the motor is locked up or frozen, you won't be able to pull it up. Try smacking the motor to see if you can get it to go up. If not, pull the motor, then the window will go right up by hand. Then reinstall if it's a temp patch for the winter, or rebuild the motor or replacement.
