input on future mods
greeeeaaaaat... now I have conflict
I really want the powerdyne (I'm assuming the one I found is the one you're talking about.. $1800 shipped), but at the same time I'd still want the exhaust and the gears/tlock... which would bring my total up to something like $2500... decisions, decisions...
I wonder how 270rwhp would do with a pegleg?
Edit: do you guys think the stock rear end/maybe a tlock would hold up to 270rwhp? If it can, I might just go with the powerdyne, tlock, and an hpipe/duals

i started off my build with intake/exhaust/tune, cause your still going to have to get a blower tuned
You'll need a little more than $2000 to do all that.
Don't worry about the HID kits scattering the light, it's not going to be that bad and your vision will go up drastically with a stock kit, angle eyes just look god auffle to me.
Everything else is good, but you're not going to get a lot of noticible power, but with the gears you're going to notice a pick up. However, with a manual, you're more than likely going to regret getting 4.10s. They're just too short of a gear for any type of off adequate off the line control for a manual, not to mention what wet roads will be.

Well I was told I had 3.55s (however when I did the test myself two weeks ago I counted 3.73 driveshaft revolutions 7 times just to be sure), but in either since, first gear is remarkably short, and I couldn't even imagine what 4.10s would do, it's already hard enough controling the car when in rainy conditions and or launching.

i had 3.73s for mine but not installed, if i buy it back, i might say fugg it and swap an 8.8 but just cause i think that 3.90s would be a nice gear for my plans
The supercharger or my list of mods? Because I spent about $2100 on all the mods in my list, and I actually ordered a few things that weren't on my original list (mustang letter decals, radio harness for my mach 460, mach1 chin/grille, etc). And I know I'd be spending way more than $2k all said and done for the supercharger; that's why I didn't opt to get it.
But anyway, like I said, most of the stuff was ordered tuesday, and the rest of it was ordered yesterday. Basically, I'm going to live with the 4.10's... Basically, I'm one of those people where if something makes a car super-fun to drive, I'll do it... f**k driveability
. Also, this winter (and in the rain, probably), I plan on starting out in 2nd pretty much all the time.
And for the headlights, like I said, I'm going to smoke the lenses so you won't even know they're projectors until I turn them on. I had projectors (not the ricy ones either... they actually looked like they could have been oem) on my old civic and I loved the output of them, even with the bulbs that came with them. I'm sure I'll be extremely happy with hid projectors. Also, as ricer-ish as it might be, I love the little color change at the edge of the projector light beam... it entertains my ADD when I'm driving at night lol
And, yeah, I know I won't be getting much power with the parts I bought... basically, my goal was just to make the car a little more fun until I can afford a blower. I pretty much got appearance mods out of the way (now I just have to get tint and wheels, but I'm thinking about painting the stockers flat black for now... I'll experiment with photoshop and decide), so now I just have performance and handling to worry about
Also, the dual exhaust is sitting at my house right now (too bad I won't get to open the package until tomorrow... being in college ftl lol), and the lip/chin are both on their way... I don't believe anything else shipped out just yet.
*correction: The tuner, seat brackets, short-throw, and mustang lettering all shipped out today, too.... I just got the shipping confirmation
I'd expect the gears, h-pipe, and HID kit/headlights to ship out tomorrow at the latest
*'nother edit: I officially love AmericanMuscle... I just got a call from them, my ish is going to be here tomorrow (at least the seat brackets, tuner, shifter, and mustang vinyl). Also I'll be shocked if the grille and front lip aren't here by then, too. I love living in PA... to my immediate west is a Summit Racing warehouse, Stangmods is in MD, and AM is in eastern PA
Also, just a quick question.. when I ordered the tuner, I said I had the exhaust and o/r h-pipe on (obviously that isn't the case quite yet since I ordered those at the same time); will I have any problems running the tuner on the stock y-pipe and exhaust until I get the duals or should I just wait another week?

okay, a little update here. I got the tuner last week, along with the mustang lettering vinyl and seat brackets, in addition to the duals. This week, I have the o/r h-pipe, grille delete/chin spoiler and tlock. Unfortunately, the headlights haven't shipped out. Also, the 4.10 gears were backordered, and after emailing matt, I'm substituting a 3.73 in place of the 4.10, so you anti-4.10 guys should be happy. And unfortunately, the headlights (hid retrofit into the projectors) just got done today, so it's supposed to be here tuesday, meaning I have to wait another week for the projectors. Fortunately, I have this ready to go on tomorrow along with the chin spoiler:

I just need to go to advance auto parts or something tomorrow to get muffler hangars since I don't seem to have anything to use for the right side of the car.

yeah, the grille delete is already on the car (cleans up the front a lot) and the chin spoiler will go on tomorrow... the spoiler has finally cured back to its original shape (it was shipped in a box, so it was bent and everything), but it's dark and cold outside right now.
And the h-pipe was about $175 with free shipping (stangmods) and the gt cat-back was about $190 shipped (summit racing). I'm still expecting to spend $20-$30 on an oem gt right muffler hangar and tailpipe hangars, but we'll see tomorrow when I go to the stealership.
And I have high expectations for the overall engine/exhaust sound with the h-pipe/duals... it sounds pretty bada** right now even with the stock exhaust with the 91 octane tune I'm running (I need to remember to get a tune for 93 octane... I didn't realize it was available in Blairsville, so I just got a 91 tune).
I'm thinking for the three custom tunes I can store on the x3, I'll do something like:
1) 93 octane performance tune
2) 91 octane performance tune (for when I'm around my hometown where premium is 91)
3) 87 octane economy tune (for when I'm going on long road trips)
