A lot of my friends drive 240s, I make jokes about 240s and my friends make jokes about mustangs. They dont seriously talk **** about them though, they definitely respect cars in general. 240's are very good platforms to work with, sorta like fox body mustangs. Ls1s have been put in 240's but turbo ka's and sr's are much more common. Im not an expert on that swap but i know a ls1 motor in a drift car would give extremely different weight distribution, so putting it into a drift car might not be your best option there.

No need if I manage to use an auto be it the Jag' one or one form the car, less crap to worry about.

Using the Jag' transmission with the engine, I would need to at the very least make new cross members and driveshaft, at the most mess with the fire wall and tranny tunnel cross members, driveshaft, hood, etc.

Not to mention the issues regarding the instruments.
