Default CAI?

Alright, so I have a cold air intake from American Muscle...I was wondering if I should replace that filter with a K&N or BBK? Will I gain ANYTHING from doing this? And how are 'ggod' are dry filters? I would love to have one of them because its dusty as h*** where I live and I try to clean it often...

Any ideas or suggestions?

The intake has been on the car for a while. Replacing the off-brand re-usable filter with a K&N on the CAI wont help at all?

No. A filter is a filter. Get a k&n recharge kit, and re-use the filter it came with.

you wouldnt notice the gains. however, i know aem makes a good dry filter element that does NOT require oiling...which is good, as i know some people who have OVER oiled their filters, and damaged their MAFs. If you do decide to replace it, you might wanna look at one of those.
