Default Ignition

Looking for suggestion. What would be a good setup for my car, mainly stock for now but looking to do more stuff, when it comes to spark plugs and ignition wires.

as far as plugs go, you really don't need anything besides stock motorcraft plugs if your car has a stock tune. If you decide to go with a performance chip or tune, go with the NGK iridium. they run about $7/plug but worth every penny, as they provide the most power and prevent engine knock that you tend to get with a performance tune and a lower quality plug. I would not go with champion, as I had champion plugs and got engine knock with my performance tune. You could upgrade your spark plug wires too, but it's more important to upgrade the plug, although I am interested to know if the performance distributor cap listed above would really make a difference. I would imagine you would need a tune to accept a different spark gapping.

There's nothing really wrong with mine that I can tell, but my car keeps lagging when it starts up. A buddy of mine suggested that some new wires a plugs ought to do the trick.

i had a problem with champions in my old camaro, they were about as bad as teh bosch plugs in my old 4 banger mustang.

screamin demon coil, stangwires, and halo plugs are what i ran on mine, for stock motorcraft wires and autolight plugs will be fine
