machining???

Default machining???

okay so i plan on gettin the 4.2L block and gettin that machined?? any idea how much money??

alsso ne other parts going in i am buying new so there fore they dont need to be machined correct?(may be a dumb question but i want to double check lol)

yeah... your probably going to have to machine your pistons 30 over.. and while your in there you might as well lighten your crank shaft...

Here is what I had done(I consider all this the standard for building a forged motor):
Clean block and buff
New freeze plugs
New cam and aux. bearings
New oil gallery plugs
Square deck block
Hone and/or bore block
Chamfer oil holes of crankshaft
Polish crankshaft
Balance engine
Machine bearing tanks of connecting rods

I also had them assemble the shortblock, check all clearances, and file fit the rings.
The prices will vary on the work done, but remeber you get what you pay for and how easy things can go wring inside of an engine. Most places (in San Antonio at least)arn't knolageable with v6 mustang engines, so I decided to pay top dollar and get it done by hthe best in the area.

ok well i can just buy a new crank shaft cam heads pistons ...etc cant i.....i dont have to have the old ones machined??

ive taken apart many engines and reassemble before new a rebuild tho but im pretty confindent in putting it together its just the machine and what parts i should go with that will tie me upp

Yes, I don't think there is any machining done on anything other than the block. It cost me $900 for all the block work, $300 for the assembly. If you call Tom @ SSM he can tell you everything you need.
