Default lowering a v6

i wanna lower my 2003 v6, im told lowering springs alone will do it and i found some i like from H&R that should take it down 1.6 in front and 1.5 in the rear.

question here is will the stock set up work if i just change out the springs?
is it safe and sturdy?
will it actually drop the car?

Over 1.5" you will need CC plates. Look on eBay and they have Roush surplus springs. I think 1" drop and they are specifically for v6. And with a 1" you don't have to have CC plates.

as of now, i have stock suspension with the exception of my lowering springs. the springs give a pretty good ride and have its gains as well as looks. yes its safe and sturdy, you just need to look out for certain bumps around town, unlike people in SUVs and trucks. i have eibach and they work great

i think its 1.5" all around. youll need CC plates. mine should be here tomorrow. but go for it- if you look into doing stuff later on with your car you will need suspension, and CC plates will help

I'd just be careful when deciding about how to lower a vehicle. I lowered my S-10 and the thing rode like it had no suspension what-so-ever. Maybe you should think about going to a bone yard and pulling the springs and shocks from a gt as they ride lower.

+1

The ride of my changed quite a bit, I am wondering if its the shocks and struts being worn our or I just need sway bars. It also could be not only the lowering but the changing of wheels and to lower profile tires, less shock absorbtion. Coil overs could be a great conclusion.

for only a 1.5 drop shocks and struts are what you are gonna need more not cc plates

you may need new camber bolts

what do you mean? lowering can cause uneven tire wear. the plates correct that and align buy positive or negative- this comes from the cc plates though
