4.2L
Well I can get a brand new 4.2 long block with 0 miles for under 1500. I'm sure there are cheaper routes out there but I just havn't explored any bc my 83 gets alot more attention than my 98 sixer does.
there is a list of what is needed at both 3.8mustang.com and v6power.net for any year 3.8 from 94-04
hp gain isn't alot but the added torque makes it a very good swap. i got a brand new 4.2L crank for $136 so it's not too expensive to do if you shop around for parts. the easiest way to do it is get a 4.2 out of either an F-150 or a winstar van from a junkyard and use the mustang upper intake
