Makes a noise like a distant mini siren. Anyone have this noise or had a failure ? tank grommet is leaking..... would be a good time to replace the pump. Other than that & using a bit of AFC, she's all good.

 

Yea mine seems a little loud too, it's also a 96. I researched a bit with the search function...many people report that when it gets loud it's not long before it goes out.

It's not a bad idea to replace the pump before it has a chance to go out on you when you are on the road....that would not be fun.

I plan on replacing it pretty soon, along with that stupid little grommet that leaks on every 96 v6
