the t45 is a stronger tranny, but not by that much..

the bellhousing isn't the same, so its not just going to bolt right up.. the bellhousing is actually PART of the tansmission (unlike the t5 where you can take them apart).. so your looking at adapter plates, and the input shaft length will have to be addressed...

other then that, the rear driveshaft yoke is a 31 spline where as your driveshaft fits a 28

lol t45s are just as bad as t5s, if your going to upgrade get your t5 rebuilt with stronger internals, or get a t56, or a TKO

t45s are weaker then the t3650 which i just put tranny number 3 into my buddies mach 1 with only flows on it. waste of time to get it to fit

the t45 is good for about 75 more ft/lb then the t5.. but like i said.. just to make one fit wouldn't be worth the time..

if you want a stronger tranny, i'd suggest the super t5 gear kit.. basicallly a direct swap for your current gears.. meaning that it'll bolt right up into place with no problems...

you can also just get a 'super t5' transmission, but thats going to run you more then the gear kit.. plus you've got to send them your tranny...

they reuse your case to build other supers... i believe the last time i checked gears were ike 1200.. but that may have changed by now.. they're made by astro performance.. i dont believe the gear kit comes with anything else..
