Default SCT problem

I have the x3 handheld and I went to tune my car. Plugged it in, program vehicle, install tune, adjust options? yes, pulling up options... And that is as far as it will go the screen just says "pulling up options..." and has never done this before.

I've noticed that if my Xcal isn't at room temperature or above, it craps out. If I leave it in the car, which I always do, and it's cold outside and try to do anything, it doesn't even make the pretty little startup noise.

Whenever I plan to use it in the cold, I either take it inside for half an hour, or drive with the heater blowing on it on the passenger floor board, and then it works like a champ

Always coming up with the easiest was to fix things! Considering I opened it in my car and it has not been out since, hopefully that is the problem. Whats the word on your car though?

I've never heard of temp problems, but it certainly could be an issue. You can always check out the support section on www.sctflash.com, they have some pretty in depth archives.

The temp wasn't the problem. And yeah I've already gotten a hold of someone there but he is taking forever to email me back.

I do not know; whatever came on it brand new, I should probably download the latest updates from the website.

No, not necessarily. You need to know what is on it first before updating it. The revision number is displayed in the device info menu.
