I know this been asked several time but i was want to make sure. Were is the best place to buy a xcal3?

i got mine from american muscle but had some tuning issues for a while. they fixed it eventually, but i heard vmptuning.com is best.

Yes, that is true and it would be really nice but i think the main point in getting a tuner is to have a good tune for your car. So, whatever you feel is more beneficial

Personally, I would buy the tuner from a local speed shop that does custom tuning. They tend to give you better rates when you need a tune, and I don't trust tunes that are emailed to me.
